Rice flour: ½ Kilogram
Ural Dal flour: 2 Table spoon
Unsalted Butter: 50 grams
Salt: According to your taste
Seasame seeds: 1 Table spoon
Oil: For deep frying

Method of Preparation:

  1. First take big Kadaai put 1 liter oil and heat for making murukku. You can prepare rice flour at your home or you can buy murukku flour in stores or super markets. Now, put the flour in a bowl, then sift the flours well, sift both Urad dal flour and rice flour in multiple times.
  2. Then add the Sesame seeds and salt and mix it to combine. Now drop the butter, and mix it along with the flour in order to form breadcrumbs.
  3. Now slightly add in water. Make sure that you should add water little by little.
  4. After that the flour comes together into dough. The flour should not be liquid at the same time should not be very dry, If it is dry add some drops of water.
  5. Now take Murukku mold, the size and design of the mold will be your preference. Then, now take some dough and place it inside the mold. Then, press the dough on top of the oil. Please note that, oil should be heat. Then give little shake, it will helps to break and fall into the oil. Make the murukku in concentric circles. After that, leave it murukku until golden brown. Now the bubbles are disappearing. Do the same for all remaining flour.
  6. Now take the murukku in outside then, leave it for 10 minutes to cool. Now the crunchy Murukku is ready. You can store the murukku in an air tight container till 1 month.
