Pal paniyaram


Raw rice : 250 gram
Urad dal white, heaped : 250 gram
Sugar or Jaggery: 400 gram
Thick Coconut Milk : 400 ml
boiled milk : 200 ml
Cardamom powder : 1/2 teaspoon
salt : a tiny pinch
oil: a deep fry

Method of Preparation:

  1. First, you have to take equivalent measure of raw rice and Urad dal and soak it together for 2-3 hours. Then drain the water pours some cool water into it. Keep it for 10 minutes then drain it, it will helpful to smooth and soft.
  2. Now grind it to a fine batter (Use grinder). Add 3 to 4 teaspoon of cool water while grinding. The batter should be smooth and thick like Idli batter; it should not be too liquid. After grinding add salt and mix well. The keep aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Now, heat oil in a Kadaai. When oil is heated up, take small, small portion of batter and drop in to heated oil. Turn around and cook on both sides to light golden color.
  4. Now take it out from oil and put it on a bowl. Then, add Coconut milk, boiled milk, Sugar or Jaggery, Cardamom powder in bowl. Mix well. Sugar should dissolve.
  5. Now drop the Paniyaram into the prepared milk. Let it soak for 30 minutes. You can serve it hot or else you can keep it on freezer for 1 hour then serve it. It is a mouthwatering dish, very tasty and healthy. Enjoy!
